Counseling Experience
Skylar has been a counselor at The LifeVesting Group since 2014 where she specializes primarily in working individually with teens and young adults seeking help for a variety of issues. She has also gained experience counseling individuals of all ages through her work as a Mental Health Therapist at Community Health Center of Lubbock and has experience providing career counseling for young adults at Workforce Solutions.
During her graduate studies, Skylar had the opportunity to gain counseling experience through working with individuals at Lubbock Christian University, Family Counseling Services, and The Children’s Home of Lubbock. Skylar’s variety of counseling experiences has helped her become a well-rounded professional counselor in her practice at The LifeVesting Group.
Skylar approaches each person’s situation as unique and tailor’s her approach according to each individual’s needs. Her style includes talk therapy combined with various counseling techniques and activities to work toward the achievement of each individual’s goal. She believes that everyone has the ability to find happiness and peace in their life and will work with you to find that peace and happiness within yourself. She provides support and encouragement as well as an outside perspective of situations and behaviors to promote growth and change in individual’s lives.
