Brianna has been studying the field of psychology for the last 14 years. She has devoted the last year to completing her internship in private practice and is currently working towards completing the requirements to be a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Alabama. During her clinical hours, Brianna honed various counseling skills and subscribes to an integrative and eclectic counseling style. She believes that each client is unique and approaches each person as an individual.

As a former military spouse, Brianna is driven to help support our countries service members and their families and understands, firsthand, what emotional and mental sacrifices life in the military sometimes requires. Along with pursuing her LPC she is working to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and provide effective play therapy techniques, under the supervision of Robin Wood, LPC, NCC, RPT/S.

American Sign Language (ASL) and the d/Deaf culture are aspects of diversity that Brianna strongly advocates for and incorporates into her work in private practice. Before earning a MA degree, she obtained a BS in Psychology with a minor in American Sign Language Interpreter Training. As a hearing advocate for the Deaf, it is her belief that both cultures (hearing and d/Deaf) can work together to find ways to connect and campaign for everyone’s success. At this time, she is conversationally fluent in sign-language and is working with both hearing and d/Deaf counseling clients.

Brianna is happily married, has two fur-children (Scottish Fold cat siblings), and a deep and active relationship with Jesus Christ. For fun, she enjoys ballroom dancing, travel, watching movies, and is often spotted with her nose in a book at local coffee shops. Personally and professionally, she values helping others. At her core she believes that everyone has a voice (either signed or spoken) and her life’s goal is to help people find and use their voice in a wholehearted way. Therapy can provide a way to reach a connected, genuine, and healed version of yourself! Let the journey to your best self-begin today!
