Stacy has worked since 2001 at a residential non-profit child care agency where she had the opportunity to work with girls between the ages of 9-19 and their families in an effort to reunite them and build healthy families. While there she began working with an experiential approach to therapy; utilizing adventure and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. She has facilitated individual, family, group and team sessions on challenge courses, back packing, mountain biking, and kayaking trips as well as other adventures.
In 2010 she began working as the Therapeutic Sexual Assault Counselor at the Rape Crisis Center in Lubbock Texas. She was able to work with a wide variety of clients; anyone who had been affected by sexual assault. This included victims, spouses, families and victims of sex trafficking. Working with other non-prophet organizations she was able to utilize poetry, clay, graffiti, music and even Equine Assisted Psychotherapy in the healing process.
Stacy has presented for law enforcement, the legal community, area organizations, advocacy groups, other non-profits, teachers, businesses, medical professionals, civic, and church groups.
