Counseling Style
Every person is unique and responds to each type of counseling theory differently, so it is important to consider the right counseling style that will benefit the needs of the client. As a behavioral therapist, I utilize CBT often. Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses specifically on a person’s train of thought and indentifies problematic patterns of negative thinking. Some other techniques of choice are person-centered and solution-focused. Person-centered therapy focuses on the ‘here and now’ of client awareness of self, and solution-focused therapy which raises awareness of the clients potential.
Personal Information
I have been married for 24 years to Matthew Fincher and we have 3 amazing children together. Chase (22), Cole (19) and Autumn (17). I was raised in a Christian home and gave my heart to the Lord at the age of 9. Christ is the center of all that I do! I believe God called me to serve in counseling at a young age. It is my passion to use my training and skills, and being God lead, to help those who are hurting and suffering.
